And Someone May Ask: Why Silver?!
I use primarily silver as the base of all my designs. My inspiration is my heritage. Interesting enough, early in the Ancient Egyptian kingdom, silver was considered to be more of a precious and rare metal than gold. Gold was used to represent the skin of the ancient Egyptian gods, but their bones were thought to be of silver. Bones form the main frame and foundation of strength and mobility. Silver represents a grounded strength and a beauty that goes beyond what is seen. Women possess the qualities of silver that goes much deeper than skin surface. Our role in this universe, in our communities resembles that of the bones to the body… and there came the thought to Let it be Silver!
